Sorry, isn't there a Tweet your Crappy Poems segment?

I do wonder whether we should have had mention of "Hairy Cornflake faces porridge" and "Lonnie Donnegan's Concerto for Two Washboards" with anyone else. (French accent is execrable, but I'm not as picky as some.)

I don't think the post of D-G is likely to be vacant in the near future.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Not officially - despite HS' best efforts.

          Clemmy's not shown up today
I guess there is nothing to say
          But leave it to Skelly
          To give it some welly
And blow all our cobwebs away

When Clemmy woke up Wednesday morning
She couldn't stop stretching and yawning
So she just phoned it sick
                    And Skelly did the trick
By doing Breakfast well without warning.

                      Perhaps a Haiku:

                      I like Clemmy
                      Not, A lot
Will nothing stop the rot? No.

I was thinking of the great Bill Hardcastle who, presenting TWAO with a stinking cold, revealed there'd been a telephone call to the BBC complaining he was giving it to listeners. Me, I just worry about whose job it is to disinfect the microphones.
