oh and à propos having your name read out .... after years and years as a kid of sending postcards with requests, comments etc to Ed Stewart, Tony Blackburn, Noel Edmonds and even John Peel and all IN VAIN.. .who's the only BBC radio presenter to have read out my name over the airwaves....? (answers on a postcard please...)

What I really find completely beyond comprehension is that anyone should want to have their name read out over the airwaves. It seems to suggest the same mentality as that of people who come up to one and gleefully announce "I saw you in Tesco last night"
