yes, the playlists these days seem to simply inform you which CDs the extracts are taken from
5 minutes is certainly not long enough for the whole of The Bartered Bride
Tom McKinney presents Radio 3's breakfast show, with the Best of British Music Playlist.

Well Petroc finally went out of his way to give us news of Clemency this morning .

She had her baby boy, Thomas, "a week ago".

Oh well, one week closer to having her back I s'pose.

All the best to Mumsy Clemsy

Not entitled Crux Fidelis? Not a motet? Possibly not for 4 Voices? Or even not - as stated - composed by the Monteverdi Choir?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

The private lives of presenters are just that, and have nothing whatever to do with what should be broadcast on Radio 3.

Not composed by John IV of Portugal, presumably.

If there were a recognised format with a slot where the composer's name always went, it would work.

You could blame the artists for following practice in the pop world and naming their 'albums' after themselves.

Well I think that if R3 put such a fairly high-profile person as presenter of what is supposedly one of their most listened-to programmes, and who was put there in order to attract more listeners (debatable, I know) then I think it's more than decent to let listeners know why she had 'disappeared', and to those who sort of knew why she was no longer presenting, just let them know that everything is OK.

I for one am happier now.

Obviously your plea for Clemency over this matter!

Did Petroc celebrate the birth this morning with a Child(e) ballad.

It's yet another distraction to compensate for Radio3's dullest programme.

Not quite. Apparently the child was born to the sounds of The Well Tempered Clavier so that's what he played (I think) in the Bach Before 7 feature ...

Or even doubtful that that's what they played.
