I still find AMcG one of the good things about R3, but you are right about the creeping voice smirks among the R3 'presenters'. I think they have dished out a job lot of them which have been acquired from that arch-exponent Fiona Bruce.

Oddly, I like AMcG and don't mind his interjections. What is odd is that it is personal interjections that I have often found to be irritating from other presenters.

I've looked it up in my Radio Times archive and was surprised to discover that his first day appears to have been 12/09/1998.

Not sure if this is the right thread upon which to be posting, but has anyone else seen the very good coverage our board has got in the current issue of Private Eye from Lunchtime O'Boulez?

Blimey that is a long time! Almost since I started listening (1984... do you know who presented it before AMcG?)

No, haven't seen that! Maybe a summary on 'announcements' ?

Richard Osbourn. (I go back as far as John Lade and the Oboe Concerto theme tune!)

Ah, thanks, Richard...I had a feeling someone would have already noticed it. A very nice long article in which we feature quite prominently!

I see we are still sans Clemency this week. I presume each presenter does a two-week stint ..

I see they have also changed Petroc Wotsisname's picture to make him look more suave or something ..

                          Mornin' all!

Yes, generally two weeks on/two weeks off.

As regards the new picture - no comment!
