So why is her talent being wasted making her spout gibberish on Breakfast?

I will never listen to Breakfast as long as she is presenting.
I see so many bright, well spoken, talented kids struggling to get any kind of a break in jobs such as the arts and media. They often carry a vast burden of debt from their university education. if they get a break, it may well be on something like minimum wage, and often after months of free labour given on "internships".
So seeing well connected people like CB-H getting endless opportunities, and apparently picking up plum jobs such as presenting" Breakfast" without any kind of open competition, sticks in my throat.


Apologies for the rant. But I really object to my license fee paying for what looks a lot like nepotism.

(I have also been boycotting Jeremy Vine for reasons I have long forgotten, for many years. Actually, you don't really need a reason).

Nothing to do with Downton - that was a charity gig she did for Mastermind.

When I was abput 14, I used to really look forward to Alan Keith on "Your 100 Best Tunes" on Radio 2 on Sunday evening.

But that was only once a week, with a warm and friendly presenter - rather like a kind father. The current R3 collection (I used a different word, but it wasn't at all hostly) appear to be several leagues lower down in presentation skills.

I have no answer to that. I do not know how she got the job.

Sadly, nepotism and cronyism are rife in the musical world. It's probably worse in the acting world and in the broadcasting world, it's almost expected.
