Yes, I think I've 'cracked it'. I had my pathetic hi-fi far enough away so that I could hear the music but not what Clemency said. It worked quite well as I recognised most of it anyway.

Thanks for the recommendation, Mercs. I agree that Brahms was sublime. Perhaps we should have a thread of recommendations for the pearls that do occasionally crop up?

Well we do sort of ......we recommend things that have turned up and things that Lady Sidcup et al thinks should turn up....

Well anton my hero and your 'old scoundrel' the wonderful Artur Rubinstein, is right now playing Stravinsky on Rob's programme. Just wish I'd recorded it as AR never did apparently. Three movements from Petroushka in his own arrangement. Stunning playing IMHO.
