Fats Waller and then Silent Night - far from totally in German - if this had been SMP there would be demands for a public flogging..........

The same ingredients, a different cook.

[ed] even so, an occasional weekend is just about enough for me.

Don't worry. It'll be late in Britain but in Germany it'll arrive on time.

...but remember texts may be charged at special post-apocalyptic rates
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

PM did a rather nice spoof announcement at the end of the programme yesterday about the end of the world... 'There will be some changes to the Radio Four schedule tomorrow... Thought for the Day will extend to three hours...' etc etc.

in your neck of the woods I imagine the unions will be burning things in protest. I am with them, if they do !!

Well, we wouldn't want them to be frivolous, would we?

C'est vrai. One of the first bits of argot I learnt here was C'est la grève!

Today after enjoying Lieut Kije on TtN, when the opening of Hansel & Gretel was played on Breakfast I almost felt Christmassy. But the dratted Bolero has just spoiled that mood.

                              How very could they

Why do they do that - Why didn't they play Sheherazade instead - roughly same time needed! I see from the schedule it was Martin Handley - he should have told the producers no no no Bolero!!!!
