A deathly silence greeted that, Don (perhaps justifiably), but I enjoyed the deft deployment of an oldie
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
... so nearly time to welcome those two flamboyant dentists Ben Dover and Phil McCavitie...

Oh ha ha. I'd already logged off and hadn't heard it before anyway. Very funny Don Petter but like check ups before 2.30 myself.
And how are the salygnashers?

Well, tempting fate, they are my own and I got away with scale and polish. However, the dreadfully hard plastic dental bed/chair thing didn't do my back much good.

Please to hear it saly; remember that old slogan, "a woman's right to chews"?
THIS is one of the reasons why I do not listen anymore..........in fact, I did turn on B'fast this morning............THERE ARE NOW CROSSWORD CLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ye Gods and little fishes!!!!!!!!!!!!
During my very limited BBC listening for many months now, I have not heard ONE PIECE OF MUSIC THAT WAS NEW TO ME........
I still miss the BBC before the changes, it was so entertaining, now I just get cross. Sorry to rant but sometimes.......
I suspect your limited listening does not include Early Music Show and/or Through the Night. If you listen to these two programmes for a month, say 75% of each, and still say the same thing, I shall change myself into a soulless fish.
As for Breakfast, I keep well out of it except when it is presented by Martin Handley. Incidentally, this weekend (20 and 21) will be presented by Ian Skelly.

Thanks Doversole......... to save you from a fishy fate...... I do enjoy Early Music and, occaisionally TTN when I can stay awake! We also listen to evening concerts and I enjoy ClassicalKUSC during weekday mornings it's well worth listening to. Thanks also for the tip re Ian Skelly, will certainly make a point of listening this w/e.he is always good value, pity we do not hear more of him.

Cheers, JanH
JanH, why not play TTN through the day? As its around 6 hours, so should keep you out of mischief!KUSC is decent though.

Thanks for suggestion teamsaint. We have tried to play TTN during the day but after 20 mins or so, it stops, and then starts again at the beginning?! something wrong somewhere but don't know what... will have to try again sometime. Perhaps someone can suggest a remedy for this problem?
Where did you buy your joke book S-A? Some of them are quite funny
It's the way he types 'em!!
