How can you confuse the two? True, they both have the BBC attitude problem (to very different degrees), but Suzy has a pronounced estuary accent, whereas Georgia is more RP.

This is lack of really basic knowledge. It seems to me the main quality one needs to be R3 presenter these days is confidence.

This morning Georgia told us that she had had a wonderful time seeing 'Tchaikovsky's Boris Godunov at the Royal Albert H....er the Royal Opera House' last night. The immediate correction of the venue made the failure to correct the composer seem even more egregious. Are these all really just slips of the tongue? If so, I would have to doubt her abilities as a broadcaster. Or did she in fact sit through the whole of Boris Godunov labouring under the impression that it was by Tchaikovsky? That would be even more worrying.

There has been an unhealthy obsession with children’s TV theme tunes this week, which reached hysterical fever-pitch today.
I’m hoping that calm will be restored with the return of Petroc Trelawny next week.

I was delighted to discover this morning that my Classic iPod works fine in our new car (replacement newer model after the previous one got written off in a crash on New Year's Day), so we now have the option of our own choice of music on its first long outing soon (yes, we really do use the car that little that it hadn't been worth investigating till now!) instead of Breakfast and Sunday. Kia must have updated their software.

My current motor is due for replacement in the autumn, my preferred replacement offers a CD player as an option at £100. And, as it goes, a spare wheel for £150. I’m aiming to order both !!
