    O so do I...

You never know what to expect on this thread, but I read the last two posts and had a good idea …
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Carrying Lady Gould's bags - we had made it to Heafro and I remembered I needed to download the latest instalment of Joy in the Morning. After this I looked around for anything else that might appeal and there he was Skellers
        - indeed double Joy in the Morning
        - was this planned?

Clementia Non Papa mentioned it yesterday: I think she said that she was doing something else today. BBC Young Musician sectional finals perhaps?

Radio Times says it was supposed to be a Trelawday.

Skelly makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE... the enjoyment seasoned with a continual subtle irony, such a difference from the dead-eyed, indiscriminate 'upbeat' style affected by the usual suspects

There's some classic Skelly throughout this morning's programme. His interjections whilst reading out a listener's reminiscences about being a Cambridge student in the winter of '63 (about 15 minutes in) for a start.

He's a one-off. Unfair to compare with, say, PT who in my view does an excellent professional job.

I am working from home and was elated to turn on Breakfast and hear Skellars voice instead of the whitering of CBH. More Skellars..... yes.

                      Smiley face!

I liked Skeller's quip about Vivaldi, although tbh it wasn't his.

Judging by his reaction, I don't think he thought it funny either. Nor did I.

'You see? This programme's almost produced.' Genius.

I do hope you mean ‘amongst the weekday (and some weekend) Breakfast presenters’.

Some interesting material by and about him to be found on t'internet, e.g.,
