I do think professional broadcasters should speak clearly - and not gabble - since since there must be many like me who use ear trumpets and don't always catch what people are saying. There isn't much point in shouting, 'Eh? What did you say?' at the wireless.It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
