I see that Petroc did the right thing and played the Cornish Dances complete. Happy St Piran's Day to all.

Were there really only 14 pieces played yesterday? Most of the titles look fairly respectable ...

Only needs the removal of the 15 min news headlines and the time-wasting listener contributions (if people really are rushing about in such a hurry, why would they want to sit and either listen or contribute these weeds? [I enquire, only, you understand ] )
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Great grandmother Betty Lethbridge has scooped gold at the World Pasty Awards, beating international competition to keep the prize in Cornwall. So what is her secret?

Probably not - as a lot of it was not filmed in Cornwall. Had a great night leading the 'Trelawny Shout' in our local pub.

Interesting: I uncovered a research paper on the attitudes of schoolchildren on attending a live theatre performance of Othello.

The way they expressed their feelings bore extraordinary parallels to the way 'some people' complain about classical music audiences (and presumably would complain about the vestiges of serious programming on Radio 3).

The only difference is that these were schoolchildren at a 'grown-up' event, and the whingers about classical concert-goers &c. are adults . Some people need to grow up?
