Is he presenting Breakfast as well now, or are you on the wrong thread :-) ?

Bit puzzled by the details of Zefiro Torna, ciaconna for 2 tenors, this morning. There seem to be three 'singers' listed. Is Christopher Keyte the basso continuo?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Sounded remarkably like Pet Rock on Breakfast this morning to me...

oops, sorry, it was Morning on 3, not breakfast, so I'm posting in the wrong place. Anyway, Rob still robbed us of Cantata 61's ending, whatever show it was on.

It's not easy to spot the difference between the two these days.

Anyone who thought R3 couldn't sink any further into the mire must be having second thoughts. I refer, of course, to the Carol Competition. OK, so given the verses the budding composers were given, we were never going to expect much, were we. But, all the same, were the six chosen as the finalists really the best they could come up with? If so one has to wonder what on earth the rest were like. We were told that thousands voted for the finalists. Just goes to confirm just how far down the easy listening path the core audiance now is, doesn't it. And the winner? The least said about that the better. Worrying thing is that looks as though this is to be an annual event. For goodness sake someone at R3 get a grip!

There's been a thread about it:

                  Hiya Penn Igor,

My latest gripe is that slot for a identifying a piece of classical music played backwards. I just don't get it.

I wish they would just get on with playing the music together with providing some context.

I think the winning entry for the Carol Competition would certainly benefit from being played backwards.

What will they think of next...I shudder to think.

All depends what time you are listening, really!
