All that denigration of classical arrangements of folk songs was used this morning as an excuse for CB-H to feel smug and harp on about all the tweets, using them (assuming they were genuine) as an excuse for more of the folky folk-singing that doesn't really belong on Radio 3 (though the samples played were not unpleasant).

thanks Jaz. Other continental pals are having trouble too. Hope it's not a non-UK listeners ban!

I use Chrome . The site is opening now, as is the pop up player...but nothing's coming out!

Might try and reboot. This is Windows, after all.

Possibly, and note I went no stronger than possibly, a little credit to Breakfast where credit is due, for the year long Best of British playlist. IMVHO some of the pieces chosen have been both new to me and excellent but also the nominators have been interesting not only in their reasons for choosing the piece but also on occasions in their associations with the music played. Although I, sadly, missed him I understand one of the Bliss proposers was particularly excellent.
