One emailer will be surprised either to be called 'Françoise' or to be referred to as 'he' ... :-)
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

We got some Birtwistle on Breakfast today. Cereal music? They must have trawled Sir Harrison's oeuvres for the shortest and least 'difficult' piece...Sad Song for piano. So no choking on the muesli.

Having a trawl through the Proms prog, I wonder if it shouldn't be renamed "The Breakfast Show- Their Greatest Hits".

interestingly, Folk Radio UK has a usefully informative website.
ts - I own up to never having heard of folk radio but then I don't listen to much radio other than iplayer on computer. That website looks a cracker, however - great CD reviews.

Radio 64 - listen and learn - Most of your life folk has not been as you describe it - Dylan went electric when you were one year old and a couple of years Fairport Convention changed the British folk scene. Folk still embraces all from unaccompanied to hi-tech - the pubs of Cornwall resound to the harmonies of singing groups - The Falmouth Shanty Festival was a showcase of great singing - and those there drank their 'Betty Stoggs' out of conventional glasses mostly unimpeded by facial hair! So when you've stopped your drooling over Clemmy have a listen!

              Wise words my Owly friend!
I think I still have a couple of Fairport C albums somewhere .....

I have also discovered that holding your hand on one ear does improve singing

              Pass the scrumpy Clems!

                      Define your demonstrative pronoun.

                          Don't forget the quotation, Alps:

"He only does it to annoy
                          Because he knows it teases."

Btw, ears deceive: I could have sworn that I heard the name of J-C Juncker pronounced as Zhoonkay this morning. But, I was mistaken ...
