Get you ff, did Bruckner email you about his 7th this year!

It may sadly prove that the current level of knowledge at R3 is about mine - Butterworth died in WW1 being as good as it gets.......

Caught just a bit of Breakfast this morning - something about a ball of soft dough and Tweet if you know the difference between a Bap and a Roll ..... ? I suppose it amuses some, I think the answer is that it's a load of Bagels.

Well, one does get the feeling that it's less crucial to get the facts right if the audience doesn't know one way or the other. But OTOH I don't suppose anyone would positively OBJECT to be be given accurate information, would they?

I'm tempted to wonder whether it was ... deliberate sabotage

(I do not have Bruckner's email address, so was unable to congratulate him)
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Don't get me wrong I feel R3 even Breakfast should do a lot better........was a correction ever broadcast?

Not on the programme - it was one of my occasional listens all the way through. Again 30 minutes of talk to 2 hours of music. Which I suppose is better than the other way round.

Some more statistics: there were 25 pieces in 120 minutes - or 4.8 minutes each on average. The longest was the movement from Mozart's Clarinet Quintet at a fraction under 9 minutes. Prokofiev's Overture on Hebrew Themes was almost the same length. The Bach cantata BWV170 was 7 minutes.

I have several ideas I think I will suggest that will make this a much better programme. I shall do so tomorrow and see what answer I get

Was it linked to a recording of a Welsh MVC singing 'Bread of Heaven'?

Breakfast and playlists/websites continue the seemingly never ending 'cock-ups'. Last week's Thursday Breakfast either disappeared from the iPlayer along with the playlist within a few hours of the programme or was never available and remained so until yesterday when it was then promptly replaced by this week's iplayer episode and playlist, so the whole thing is up twice. What a shambolic mess!

It's definitely not because she has the same initials as myself (and my mother always wanted the hyphen) but I have not found anything to particularly dislike about CB-H's tenure of the hot seat, indeed quite a lot to enjoy, tweets etc notwithstanding. There have been no "Buckaroo" moments just an acceptance that there will be some "pop"s. Apart from these, I have found the selections, e.g. Busoni incorporating "Greensleeves", a whole Michael Haydn Symphony to be interesting. Am I alone?

I think she's settled in well, I am happy to retract what I said about her tripping over her words. The format still sucks though.

Buckaroo Holiday popped up earlier this week.

I agree she is ok. But the silly requests for Tweets, etc. which is part of the format is inane. I turned off today when the discussions were on whether non-christians and atheists could celebrate Christmas. Christmas has for years been a commercial holiday. But I am sure they received some interesting Tweets and Texts. Does anyone know anything about tomorrows presenter for Breakfast?
