AG, I cannot remember where the quote comes from, but I heard it years ago. If you know the quote/context, I'd appreciate if you'd let me know where it's from.

Kippers? I haven't had 'em for breakfast for months! On the other hand, I think I'll stay away, there'll be enough repeats over Xmas!

I'm no fan of Bolero, but this was only its 12th broadcast of the year, so compared with works like La Valse (25) and a number of other Ravel works, Prelude de l'apres midi d'un faun (35), Hebrides Overture (30), Wolf's Italian Serenade (30), let alone the number of Debussy Preludes, Slavonic & Hungarian Dances for example, the number of broadcasts isn't over excessive.

I take you point statistically but aesthetically once is too much.

Actually it gets worse ! By playing six degrees of separation I can get back to Hitler. My mother's sister's husband had a niece on his side of the family who married Max Mosley. He, of course, is son of Diana Mosley, whose sister Unity may have been Hitler's mistress. I'll let you know my plans for Europe.

If not it is reference number 6 in the Wiki article on Bolero

Antongould, well done for remembering that quote; you are either an extraordinarily educated man or you were reading the Telegraph (reference 15) in 1931!
