I think you will find it standard practice for the opening 'concert' of TtN to be the basis of the promotional description, The SRSO programme was indeed all Tchaikovsky (all two items ), unless, of course, the arrangement of Op. 70 was by A.N. Other.

Nevertheless, for an organisation which should have, or perhaps professes to have, good standards of English usage, the word "all" is completely incorrect. It may be that the particular concert which started TTN was an all Tchaikovsky concert, but that's not what the heading implied.

Maybe not a very big deal, but sloppy, nevertheless.

Depends I suppose - was it reported as being 'all Tchaikovsky' or 'all-Tchaikovsky'? I'd be happy with the latter.

You're right Dave2002 it is sloppy but on a scale of 0-10 it rates a 0.66 ... and that's barely a chuckle :smile:

It would appear that the all-Tchaikovsky programme includes a piece called "1". More sloppiness.
