Something very odd about R3 website

It is stylistically wrong unless you see the schedule pages as a come-and-join-us, tell-us-what-you-think kind of place. I see it as a place where I can find the information about programmes and the music played in them. And as such, I expect it to be written appropriately.

I think you've answered your own question by the way. The problem is that this sort of blurb smacks of meaningless marketing speak. It's practically inane; if you think about it, any performance which isn't "energetic" or "thoughtful" is going to be pretty lame in this repertoire. I would assume that any disc chosen as "Disc of the Week" would exhibit some qualities of the artist having the energy to perform them and having given some thought to his/her interpretation!

And wasn't that the original point? If Andrew McGregor were to say it, in passing, while reviewing the disc - fine. But anonymously (A McG or not) on the website, it does become meaningless.

Radio 3 have got their gormless summer intern in charge of the website again - according to the detailed music listing for today's Record Review, the programme this morning is a repeat of August 12's programme....

The playlist is now in a nice tangle - today's programme interleaved with the one from 12th August! They've used the same PID (b090llwv) for both editions, and seem to have overwritten the first part (in the white box) with today's programme details, but the pasted-in bit at the end is from 12th August. The iplayer is also offering the 12th August edition.

I also wonder whether they scrutinise everything that is put on the R3 website. They could save money by getting rid of the website people and do it themselves?
