Back in the '80s I shared accommodation with someone whose girlfriend was a big The The fan. All too often we were subjected to their recorded output.

The DVD is excellent, Belgrove, and both productions come across as strongly as they did in the opera house. L'enfant, in particular, is just magical and there's precious little competition on film. My review is on p.80 of October's IRR - out today, folks!

There are plenty of people who would like to stand out from the crowd this or that way and when it comes to car fans, then they are some of the most determined, especially when it comes to getting a special plate for their cars. Special plates may have an importance whn it comes to specific car models, oldsmobile and other vehicles such as motorcycles. Collectors of old cars are especially keen to get a number plate from back in time, in order for the age of car and the number plate to pass.
Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency....

Your positive review of the Glyndebourne double bill, IGI, has prompted me to buy without hesitation. It is difficult to imagine how this L'enfant could be improved upon with its laugh-out-loud and tear inducing moments. It will make a lovely memento of a past summer evening (and it didn't even rain on our picnic in that blighted year).
