Will do. All being well, the review should be in October's IRR. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Glyndebourne toured the Ravel double bill in 2014, or at the main festival the following season.
Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency....

It depends. The cheapest restricted view seats - the Upper Circle Slips nearest the front - are a bit weird, I grant, but the most expensive restricted view seats (no, it's not an oxymoron) are a steal. Those magic words "Handrail in sightline" shave a lot of money off the price.

I agree - we had "cheap" seats for Figaro this season and saw 95% of the stage from our position in the Circle side, three seats from the front. Any closer and the stage view would have diminished considerably. And we got to peer down on the orchestra - and Roger Daltrey of the Who who was sitting three rows from the front in the stallls. Old rockers don't fade away, they go to Glyndebourne.

(Is this the only occasion where one can be grammatically correct in writing "Who who"?)

Tom Baker was the the actor playing the Doctor Who who first met Davros.

I got all excited reading the Season Intro from the link in the OP, as I thought they were going to do The Second Mrs Kong again. Turns out, it's just the director coming back to do another bum-putter on seats

Oops - no Ravel involved (another reference to a previous production that I've misread).

In fact, if I've (finally) read the information correctly, the most recent piece in the 2014 Season was written in 1911?!

"The the" could be correct in another association though. There is (was) a rock band called "The" so the The it would be OR as those from up north would pronounce it " 't 'T "
(with a nod to Barry Cryer for that one).

They (or another band) were actually called "The The":

... which caused a Mobius Strip of confused logic when putting their albums in alphabetical order in one's collection. The The were featured on one of the Only Connect Walls last night (with Duran Duran and other double-word pop groups) - which is why I blame Victoria Coren - Mitchell for my gaffe earlier.
