I was wondering about it but in the end decided against it. Past Met productions, and especially the cinema presentation with the marketing and longish interval, back stage interviews etc. have rather put me off. Also I had quite a dose of long Rossini operas with the WNO Guillaume Tell and Moise in Egitto recently. If the Met broadcast had been on R3 I would have listened, as the Met orchestra is usually excellent and they often have good singers (though the chorus isn't the best).
I'll certainly try and get to the ROH Guillaume Tell cinema broadcast in the summer though.
