    Elinor Rolfe Johnson

Elinor Rolfe Johnson sang Tytania in the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream I saw last night. She's studying for a Masters in opera at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. When I saw her name in the programme I wondered if she was related to Anthony Rolfe Johnson, & after a litttle digging I found that she is (http://atalaterdate.com/news/anthony...morial-concert).

I liked her voice, & she sang well, but I thought the words didn't come over clearly - in fact I thought (before I saw her name) that she was one of the Scandinavian or Icelandic singers.

I'm glad to hear that another member of the family has joined the profession, even though you weren't impressed.

Anthony Rolfe Johnson's memorial service, which I was privileged to attend in 2010, was a truly heartbreaking occasion: perhaps less for so his family, who may have already have accepted his passing, than for those of his admirers in attendance who had not been aware of his illness.

So, off topic, but I'm glad that there is another Rolfe Johnson in the profession to look out for :)
