    Darn it. I've just been looking at something about the Vienna lodges. Where was it?

    As you say, HCRL's comment seems very vague. Why did he think it was connected with the opening of the lodge - whatever that meant? I do find the description of the most influential lodge in Vienna (not Mozart's) as 'Die St. Johannis Freimaurer-loge "Zur wahren Eintracht" (usually known simply as 'Zur wahren Eintracht', and founded in 1781, before Mozart became a Mason). But that's very well known. What would have made Köchel date it so early when the later date would have been much more obvious?
