If no one minds the standard bsp thread hijack / recycling / upcycling / whatever, it looked interesting to see the roster of conductors for ENO's 2024-2025 season:
La bohème: Clelia Cafiero
Suor Angelica: Corinna Niemeyer
The Turn of the Screw: Duncan Ward (1st 5 performances), Charlotte Corderoy (final 2 performances)
Rigoletto: Richard Farnes
The Elixir of Love: Teresa Riveiro Böhm
The Pirates of Penzance: Natalie Murray Beale
The Marriage of Figaro: Ainārs Rubiķis
Mary, Queen of Scots: Joana Carniero
In other words, in terms strictly of numbers: the 8 ENO productions have 9 scheduled conductors, 6 of whom are women, i.e. 2/3 of the list. (None of this will cut any ice with the Nadine Dorries-inspired opera and culture wreckers, of course, even if this were a factor in the general situation.)
