Barber of Seville - Scottish Opera

Just back from seeing a revival of Thomas Allen's production. A super production, & some excellent perfromances. A rather sexy Figaro - perhaps too sexy; I feel that perhaps Rosina might have found him rather more exciting than Count Almaviva (& future events suggest she might have been better off with him?).

WNO are performing The Barber this season too. Not going as I've already seen the opera once

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
