    Opera On 3 - Met Tosca

    I don’t suppose there are many listening but it’s all happening at the Met tonight .Angela Gheorghiu has cancelled her first night from illness and the replacement Tosca received a distinct boo from someone in the audience for her Vissi D’Arte. But at least no one in the audience is singing along …

    Just caught the last act. So-so performance, but, maybe down to me having a cold, the orchestra sounded to me like 5 players in a padded cell. Usually when the singers aren’t so hot you can follow Puccini’s amazing orchestration, but I wasn’t feeling that tonight.

      A LOT less than 'so-so' for me. And the ridiculous backstage interviews.

        Only heard Act 1 which came across very well in the broadcast sound however I was listening on the kitchen radio!
