Just got back from seeing English Touring Opera do the above. Plot rather dense, but music wonderful....cast of five (with local boy cast as cupid) plus the Old Street Band. Fabulous singing and playing, if tempi sometimes pushed to the limit.
Rather amused that two baroque trumpeters were needed briefly towards the end of the final act. So much sitting around for them, but presumably a full MU fee.
