I read the news with great sadness yesterday and played some Strauss songs last night

RIP Edita - you were one of the finest coloratura sopranos of recent years.

She had a special place in my heart for being one of a very select band of sopranos who could sing Mozart's Popoli di Tessaglia.

ORF has an archival November 1976 Ariadne auf Naxos from the Vienna State Opera with Edita Gruberová as Zerbinetta, for what I gather may only be a limited amount of time (something like 24 hours more or so, since ORF tends to allow access of broadcasts for a week after relay):
