Finally got to see this from the Met at the cinema. Superb performance from Isabel Lennard, and Christopher Maltman wasn’t bad either. Overall a very interesting evening. Whether this would stand the test of time as an opera I’m not sure, but seeing it for the first time was gripping. Interesting also that Isabel has not seen the film - she didn’t want to be influenced - though she has now met Tippi Hedren.
