ENO Secret Seats

Does anyone know how secret seats at ENO work? I would like to try to use them, but I never see the option available for anything I'm looking at. Is there a time when they become available? Is it very early or very late in the purchasing cycle or random? I am interested in Winter's Tale in March. There are lots of seats available, but Secret Seats aren't available when I check. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I have never had any luck either, even when looking well in advance.

You need to try different parts of the house at different times to see if the menu for Secret Seats appears. Trying early may help, but not always. Looking for seats in the stalls may not prompt the menu, but dress circle and upwards may work. There may be an algorithm which tries to figure out if you are likely to pay more, depending on areas you look at, or it could just be some random process. It may also depend on how well seats are selling. Keep looking - we have been fairly successful, and last night we saw the Pearl Fishers. It was enjoyable, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price.

Thanks Dave2002. I'll keep looking and see if I can convince it I won't buy expensive seats (easy - as I wouldn't). I'm sure there will be plenty of seats to choose from closer to time.
