Netrebko withdraws from ROH Norma

The ROH has now announced that Netrebko's replacement is to be Sonya Yoncheva (whom the Met have agreed to release from her contract to sing Boheme for the purpose).

Anna N still sings Mimi well she did to see out the Copley production last year - so they can swop !

Well, the Met has released a Mimi to Covent Garden (Sonya Yoncheva) and bagged Sondra Radvanovsky for its Norma instead.

Not sure Holten has got a good trade there.

Time will tell. I like Yoncheva a lot, and she may be ready for Norma.
