...and her Suor Angelica at the ROH earlier this year was one of the finest operatic performances I have ever witnessed. What a talent. One of the very few people who could persuade me to see Butterfly yet again. -
Yes I saw it as well . I have never seen an artist commit so wholeheartedly to a role either in the theatre or on the opera stage . If anything her performance in Suor Angelica this year was even better than her debut a few years back at Covent Garden and that is saying something . The music in Leoncavallo's Zaza is not in the Puccini class but she gave it everything.Comment
