I had never seen Figaro before and had always wanted to. The Director was Barbara Gaines, who was the longtime Artistic Director of Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and we noticed many of her touches in the production. I’ve never had 3.5 hours pass so quickly. The acting was superb, a real ensemble on the cast. There was also excellent dancing by the cast in the beginning of the wedding.
