Opera on 3 Saturday 11 May: 'The Hours'

I couldn't find a thread for this programme so here it is. Did anyone listen to Kevin Puts' The Hours? Apparently it's very popular in New York.

I tried to give it a fair hearing but had to give up . I can't say how it looks on stage; but the music alone sounded very poor to me, derivative of John Adams and Copland, at most the sort of music one wouldn't mind hearing in the background of a TV drama. I had not previously come across this composer.

Maybe it should have been left as a film, which I did find worth seeing (once).

No, I didn't listen. But looking in on the forum on my mobile this morning, this showed up as Opera on 3 Saturday 11 May: 'The Hours' by smittims. I was quite intrigued, but I see you composed the thread, not the opera.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

That would be a case of a pot suing the kettle.
