As credit should go where it's due, that's to Simon Biazeck rather than this other confusingly named Simon B who you'd pay good money not to hear singing .

As it happens, I booked ages ago for Rigoletto this Thursday so am taking this advice by accident. Though wish me luck since I'm going to the CBSO afternoon concert beforehand and if Avanti don't manage to run the 16:47 from Birmingham to Euston that day (far from guaranteed) and vaguely on time (even further from guaranteed) that'll be Act I stuffed for me!

Was very surprised and delighted to see that J K-M (and Rachmaninov) has completely sold out Symphony Hall. An email says that some additiomal seating will be made available in the Grand Tier (roofspace!)

Bravi Simon and the male chorus and extra chorus. A great evening. Good to see you getting a name check on the cast list even though copies of it were vanishingly rare last night. Pretty sure I spotted you - some good moves as well as good notes ! I thought Enkhbat was magnificent as you say - what a voice . The microphone doesn’t quite capture it . Won’t say much more as it was a rehearsal but tbh there was very little marking . Perhaps we should start a separate thread for this production?

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. We thought it went pretty well. Bravi to all the first-timers amongst up who have picked up the text and dance moves with superb aplomb - no easy feat in a revival. Enkhbat's is a voice to be heard live, for sure. Yes, perhaps we should start another thread...
