VW fans should turn their attention to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland this spring. The opera school will be performing Sir John in Love on the 9th, 11th, 13th & 15th of May. It's a small theatre, so early booking is advisable.

Nice
The website seems (no surprise) devoted to the courses on offer and students, so I couldn't find any details. Wikipedia seems more generally helpful! It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

There is a button marked 'box office' at the right end of the band at the top of the home page , but the link is http://boxoffice.rcs.ac.uk/ . You'll find details of all their performances & productions there.

For some reason the specific web page doesn't work - so scroll down.
I saw this a few years ago at ENO - didn't know what to expect. It was a great romp - much fun!

I've never seen SJIL live and am not likely to be able to make it to see this.
The music is glorious,it's not all Greensleeves, also looks forward to the later works at times, especially the symphonies, the scherzo of No 9 comes to mind..
The whole opera can be heard via you tube (with a certain Roger Norrington as Slender).
