Ah, so a repeat of the Birmingham concert but with Douglas instead of Lill? I thought the Birmingham Pastoral was very well done. Our East European offering will require some flexibility in rendition - we'll see. Not sure about the Rachmaninov, don't know it that well.

Basingstoke, FF, but never mind, glad you had a good evening, and glad ticket sales were good.
Looking forward to tonight, I like Rach PC1 a lot.

Isn't that Beethoven programme a reconstruction of (some of)the programme from the premiere of those works?

i wonder if there is any similar logic behind the anvil programme?
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

See you there TS - you'll be in the Saints Away strip I take it? Did you go for the over 65's discount on the day!! When I booked to be sure of good seats there didn't seem to be a rush for tickets.

no colours at away matches for me Gordon, saw too much trouble back in the 70's and 80's.

Over 65's? bit cheeky.......my kids think I am probably in that age bracket, but no discounted tickets or fuel allowance for me for a while.

Plenty of tix left, sad to say. I'm just behind the goal !!

New technology hits the Concert Hall then, looking out for false entries!! I'm in stalls at the back, middle, Thought I'd splash out for this one.

Sorry about the ageist remark!! Difficult to know in this place [with a couple of exceptions ]. I've put the word about the orchestra around my acquaintances but few are able/interested!! We'll probably drive and park at daughter's rather than use the bus passes - service v sparse late on and trains hourly.

no worries .....wish I could get the reduced price tickets !!
Parking for me. Hope they have finished the roadworks and the 2 mile detour to get to the Anvil parking !!

I'm in row two on my own. Couldn't entice anybody out for this one, or they were otherwise engaged !!

              Enjoy the concert Gordon.

If you mean that at the West end of Alencon link then they have. Looks like all that trouble was for a footpath from those new flats. However, road works have a habit of just moving around.

We have some standng water floods/traffic lights to get through unless we use the A303.
