    2014-15 Season: What's On

I thought it might be helpful to post information about concerts on the distant horizon, as often these things can slip by unnoticed and then one regrets not having heard about a certain concert. Rather like the pre-announcement Proms thread, for listings, etc.

Here is a pdf of the LSO's 2014-15 season: http://lso.co.uk/2014-15-season-listings-pdf A very fiddly "flipbook" can be found here: http://issuu.com/londonsymphony/docs...suu_version__u

Some interesting works: Bruckner 8 with Haitink in October (I'm seeing this in June, so perhaps a bit soon for me); Mahler 5 and 9 with Daniel Harding could be interesting.

Largely looks very conservative and rather uninspiring to me, certainly nothing to make me part with any money.

To be honest, I concur: I was trying to put a positive spin on a new thread! The ones I mention are works I have yet to see live and so are of interest.

Doesn't look all that conservative to me but then perhaps I'm a fuddy duddy small 'c' conservative anyway. The eye catching concert here for me is the one with Rattle on January 15. No doubt I'll be making my way to the Haitink concerts.
