Just back from the most delightful concert held in the 16th century chapel of St-Honorat situated at the end of the Roman cemetery of the Alyscamps in Arles. A programme based around the "Rêveries du promeneur solitaire" by Rousseau, with readings and music performed by a baroque group playing suitably nature-imitative music by Fischer, Boismortier, Dieupart, Leclair, Williams and Telemann. We even had authentic pigeons flying in and out of the chapel as the music played!

It was a lovely evening and I'm only sorry that my fellow messageboarders weren't with me to enjoy it.
