The surf appears to breaking on nothing, on the camera side of the rocks, even though the wind direction on the violinist makes such a situation quite impossible.

She is more 'tubby' in other photos I've seen.

If one's going to be pernickety, strictly speaking there should be no full stop after St. in St. John. The pedantic rule is that the full stop is omitted when the abbreviation ends with the same letter as the full word/name (here 'Saint'). Of course, people are entitled to spell their names as they wish
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Really weird. The waves in the foreground seem to be lapping on a beach, yet there's a plume of spray behind Ms St John. Also it seems the wind is blowing straight at her, yet her hair is streaming to the side. And what is that dress made of? Tin foil?

Would you take an expensive looking fiddle on a spume-sprayed beach?

Indeed. That said, I suspect this image has been created on Photoshop and that Ms St John is probably standing in a studio somewhere :)

...with a gigantic fan simulating the wind.

I think her people should have advised her not to wear a dress like that for a photo shoot, after what appears to have been a bit of over indulgence over the xmas period...

I noticed that one, but it isn't really a mistake. It's simply that abbreviations that are "contractions" (i.e. begin and end with the same letters as the word) no longer need the full stop, probably because some Oxbridge don has said so. Previously it was wrong; now it's right. That doesn't mean that the earlier "right" is now wrong. (If you see what I mean.)

Oh come on, she's not exactly obese. I wish I could look as thin as that after a bit of over-indulgence (in the tummy area, that is - I wouldn't want the other bumps )

Anyway, the ground looks a bit stony to be wandering about in bare feet. She looks a bit peeved as well - not surprising given the sort of nonsense a young performer has to put up with these days to get a record contract.

Should we be expecting 6 sonatas and 6 partitas? If so, hurrah, progress in these inflationary times!
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!
