    Afternoon on 3 this week

Daniel Jones has already been pointed out, but there are other interesting pieces on Ao3 this week. Worth winding the clock back for - i.e use iPlayer.
This seems one of the better weeks in recent times, or maybe I've just had more time to listen/and or spot the goodies from the schedules.

22nd October. just been listening to a most turgid performance of Bartok's 3rd piano concerto with Olli Mustonen and the Leipzig Gewandhaus conducted by Herbert Blomstedt. Totally unsuited to this music - Mustonen, that is.

Did anybody else notice that the Blomstedt Bruckner 5 started some way into the first movement? How on earth did that happen?

Yes, indeed! It had me confused for a moment, wondering where in the work I was. Great performance, though.
