Winifred Roberts, who has died aged 88, was a violinist known for her interpretations of music by Bach and Mozart; she performed in Myra Hess’s National Gallery concerts during the Second World War, formed an enchanting duo with her husband, the harpsichordist Geraint Jones, and was the leader of his eponymous orchestra.
A fine violinist and chamber music player. She did much to promote the cause for women in the profession.
