BBCSO busking at London and other stations for Mozart fest.

Please report if you catch any of these intrepid musicians.

I don't know any of the present orchestra but the comments there would have been years ago wouldn't have borne repeating

The best London Underground buskers I ever heard were a trio (flute, violin and cello) playing the slow movement of Bach's Double Violin Concerto. Superb.
The worst I ever heard - there's too much to choose from here, but a blanket ban on all buskers using amplification or backing tracks might be the best ways to push up standards and cut down general annoyance.

Sorry to reply a bit off-topic.

I think they've done it before, haven't they? As long as they're volunteers and they're paid well, I think it's a good idea (dunno about the entire orchestra, though).
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Well more than one or two in one position would cause chaos I should think. There was very good solo violinist who played Bach at Charing Cross Station for years, it seems. A student by the look of him.
