A pity there's no list of which works are being played when, at least I can't find one. They must surely have one for planning purposes. I was looking forward to listening to the gorgeous glass harmonica quintet, which I haven't heard since I had to get rid of my LPs some years ago. And I do wish they'd stop playing that wretched trailer so soon after a piece finishes. More grumbles later ...

Quite so. The listings are totally inadequate. Yet sometimes, they Radio Times tells us TWICE what it to be played in a concert. If only there was some common sense.

The schedule is here, but it's not currently linked to the 'Schedule' navtab.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

You have to guess, salymap. Clue: the composer's name begins with M, and we are told he was a genius. Please text your answer to yourself.

Though I'd also like to say that I'm thoroughly enjoying those bits of the Fest that I've been able to listen to thus far. Breakfast, Classical Collection are much improved.

I don't want to hear odd movements scattered around either - sometimes without even saying who is playing. I didn't much enjoy the opening live concert from King's Place on Saturday but it did include a complete performance of K467 played by Kristian Bezuidenhout [fortepiano] with the OAE. Later that day - like salymap, I thought we were taken to another world altogether with the superb performance of the Piano/Wind Quintet K452 in the recording by Murray Perahia and the ECO wind soloists Neil Black, Thea King, Anthony Halstead and Graham Sheen.

There was supposed to be a "new" Mozart Oboe Concerto (completed Levin) on this afternoon, so I was more than disappointed when, instead, they played the familiar K314 Concerto. Not sure what happened there...
