Indeed. Could someone please correct the thread title. It might help those seeking to listen to the concert via the iPlayer's on demand facility.

Hmm, one for the Pedants' Paradise page, from the BBC website:

Jiri Belohlavek and the BBC Symphony Orchestra are joined by Isabelle Faust for Brahms's Violin Concerto and by the BBC Symphony Chorus in Suk's The Ripening.
      Pacta sunt servanda !!!

I agree completely - a wonderful performance. The Busoni caught me by surprise! Does she play that on her recording?

And extensive late-Romantic, is it rambling?, from Suk suits my mood. [Supraphon is to release a live Asrael from the CPO/Belohlavek in a month or two - Spring concert.]

She does. I find the handback to the orchestra intensely memorable - time stands still. A wonderful CD

Yes the Busoni cadenza in the Beethoven VC is a delightful surprise. I'm running out of superlatives for Isabelle Faust - her control, her exquisite fresh ideas & that fabulous violin really thrill me.

Having finally caught up with this, I have to say that I was blown away by the Suk. Anyone with a penchant for saturated late romantic opulence (Strauss or Zemlinsky come to mind) should wallow in this marvellous score. The structure might initially seem a tad diffuse, but it's masterfully brought together by the magisterial fugue at the end. I've managed to track down the Pesek mid 90s performance with the RLPO at a decent price (shame about the risible cover art).
