Salymap - should you (or anyone) need it, Pristine Classical have an excellent transfer of this (with the unrevised scherzo) available as a download or a CD made to order. Highly recommended!

Stupidly I didn't write down the story of this one-off recording but I treasure it. Wonderful 'sleeve/cover' too.

Thanks Jayne and FHG for an interesting exchange of views. Here is the link to the Pristine recording referred to by JLW. http://www.pristineclassical.com/Lar...al/PASC072.php

Thanks Jayne and others but at my age I am quite happy to stay with my LP in this case, especially as I was given a rather good record player for my 80th birthday, a couple of years ago
