One of my disappointments in 2011 was not getting to the 2nd done by the BBCSSO & Runnicles at the Ed Fest - I did manage to book a ticket, and a cheap train ticket from Manchester (my partner's daughter's 30th birthday party) to EDinburgh, but ended up with a dreadful cold & had to miss it

Did you catch the broadcast Flossie? If you didn't, PM me, I may be able to help! The sound balance was actually better in the broadcast than it was in the hall!

Thank you, Austin. Much enjoyed Jansons's Mahler 2. Will try to catch up with the other symphonies soon: they have Ivan Fischer, Danielle Gatti and Daniel Harding as well as more Jansons. The Concertgeboew are very generous with long term availablity of downloads.

By the way on the right of the page are links to one of those talent shows where amateur singers try their luck. Called Una Voce Particulare the first episode includes a female tenor. At least I think she is. My Dutch is not that good.
