    Unexpected performances

This is a link to a short YouTube video of a classical performance in an unusual setting. The YouTube heading gives the surprise away, but I think it's still worth a quick look.

    An unexpected performance.

Glad you liked it. Three cheers for anything that gets us away from the stultifying artificiality of the concert hall!

I was thinking how good it was to get away from piped music being blasted through loudspeakers.

It's the mesmerised, poleaxed look of that little boy standing on a chair to get a better view and grabbing his Mum's hand but kept listening that said it all!

Thank you, Bert. I have sent it to my musical friends as an extra Christmas Card.

I've just seen this, Bert. It was just like opening a Christmas present. Many thanks, and the same to you.

Hmmmm! A rather sad postscript to the previous flashmob "Allelujah":

A California mall is evacuated as a 5,000-strong flash-mob of singers organised by a local choral society cause the building to shake.

I guess it is possible to have too much of a good thing. :(

I don't think that's sad at all. Music Power!

Random Acts of Culture does the same sort of thing.

Maybe there is hope, after all?
