    Afternoon on 3 - Monday

I've haven't seen any posts about this, and have just caught up with it on Listen Again -

    Britten: Sinfonia da Requiem
Sibelius: Twelfth Night; On a Balcony by the Sea; The Rapid-Rider's Brides
    Sibelius: Belshazzar's Feast - suite
    Walton: Belshazzar's Feast

    Gerald Finley (baritone)
    BBC Symphony Orchestra
    Edward Gardner (conductor)

Tchaikovsky: The Nutcracker - Act 1
    BBC Concert Orchestra
    Barry Wordsworth (conductor)
    (Act 2 tomorrow).

I've heard the Britten, Sibelius and Walton so far, and have enjoyed it a great deal. Edward Gardner continues to impress mightily. Anyway, well worth a listen, I'd say.

There's a favourable comment on the Performance board about it as experienced on the night.

Resurrecting this thread to ask what's this "THE CRIMSON BIRD: NMC" attribution attached to three of the recorded performances on yesterday's Afternoon Concert? I know Nicola Lefanu's The Crimson Bird is on an NMC CD but how is that of relevance to the works on yesterday's programme?

The kind of online carelessness we are used to seeing? Throwing words out there without checking if they are accurate or even relevant.
